BEN WATKINS secured Cinderford Town’s place in the FA Trophy Third Round Qualifying in style with a magnifi cent 64th-minute strike on an afternoon otherwise characterised by misfortune.
Cinderford centre-back Andy Lewis’s header from a corner rattled the crossbar inside fi ve minutes and just 12 minutes later he saw his low strike rebound off the upright.
Cinderford’s fi rst-half misfortunes grew upon the half-hour mark as Josh Hunt capitalised on a loose ball to smash home but was fl agged offside.
