Boro’s bid for victory quashed

HITCHIN’S run of three consecutive league wins was brought to a halt by a disciplined and compact Nuneaton side who were minutes away from victory after taking a first-half lead that they defended impeccably.
It was the visitors who exerted early control and pressure after Alex Marsh’s disappointing soft lob for the home side was held by Tony Breeden.
Ryan Edmunds was lively for Boro on the right, and his fine shot was deflected for a corner.
