JAY Jeffries scored a late equaliser to cancel out a Anointed Chukwu double as City of Liverpool were held at home by Widnes.
The Purps took the lead in the opening exchanges through Elliott Nevitt who rounded goalkeeper Owen Wheeler to score his fifth goal in four games.
The hosts dominated but they were made to pay for not making their pressure tell when Chukwu turned home the equaliser after a corner wasn’t cleared.
