GATESHEAD returned to winning ways after a barren run as Alfreton’s woes continue.
The Heed should have been in a more commanding position at the break than a single-goal lead. Alfreton hit back to level early in the second halfbefore two late goals saw Gateshead home.
The Reds again conceded an early goal when Josh Kayode found the corner with a smart finish. Elliot Forbes then missed a sitter with a header and Kayode missed another chance.
