BASFORD UNITED picked up their first win in four games, beating a resilient Ashton United 3-2 at Greenwich Avenue.
A Jack Thomas brace put Basford 2-0 up with 20 minutes left to play. Josh Wilson pulled one back for the visitors with a penalty just three minutes later to make it 2-1 before Courey Grantham coolly slotted home to make it 3-1.
