PONTEFRACT COLLIERIES boosted their BetVictor Northern North West play-off hopes with an impressive 2-0 win at mid-table Brighouse Town.
The hosts blew a penalty opportunity after only four minutes when Carl Stewart blazed his spot-kick against the post after Connor Smythe had tripped Shiraz Khan in the box.
The Colls gradually worked their way into the game and began to look the stronger side, and they duly broke the deadlock shortly after the half-hour mark.
