ZAK Ansah scored twice as Herne Bay came from 2-0 behind to beat VCD Athletic 4-2 at Oakwood.
The Vickers were the better side in the first half and they made a statement when winning a penalty within the first five minutes which was neatly tucked away by Charlie MacDonald.
The visitors were quick to respond and Vickers keeper Matt Funnell had to go full stretch. The Vickers were then perhaps fortunate to find themselves two up just after the half hour when Dominic Odusanya mis-kicked the ball, deceiving George Kamurasi in the Bay net, and it rolled in.
