MANAGERS MUST TAKE ON RACISM Sankofa says younger players need protection

MANAGERS and clubs have been challenged to do more in the fight against racism by one of the leading figures at Kick It Out.
Osei Sankofa, the former Ebbsfleet defender, praised the players who have spoken out against their abusers but believes they should be better protected by their employers.
The 34-year-old said: “Some of the players going through this stuff are 10 years younger than me so I can’t put pressure on a young man to put his head above the parapet to tell the world what’s happening to him. That’s not easy.
