HYDE United turned in a scintillating fi rst half display to put poor Basford United to the sword.
The visitors started quickly and it wasn’t long before they got on the scoresheet, though there was an element of good fortune about it. Paddy Lane’s corner from the right beat everyone and nestled in the far corner of the net with just seven minutes gone.
The Tigers didn’t have to wait long to extend their advantage – they doubled their lead less than ten minutes later.
