LANCASTER City kept up the pressure at the top of the table with a comfortable victory over struggling Stafford Rangers – despite playing with ten men for more than half the game.
Lancaster had early chances as Charlie Bailey sent a shot wide of the far post then David Norris and Brad Carsley combined only for Josh Burns to defl ect the shot into the side netting.
The resulting corner gave Lancaster a 16th-minute lead with Sam Bailey’s fl ag kick going in via the head of Glenn Steel.
