MARTYR REBIRTH ROLLS ON

THIS in the end was a comfortable victory for Merthyr Town, with two goals before half-time deciding the outcome and sealing three points to continue their good run.
In the opening minutes, Gethyn Hill struck the woodwork with a header before Farnborough goalkeeper Liam Beach made a fine stop from Ismail Yakubu.
Courtney Fearn was busy in midfield for the visitors and he almost fed in Reggie Young before Merthyr cleared the danger.
The opening goal arrived on 27 minutes, Hill capitalising upon Jamie Veale’s run and cross to sweep home from ten yards.
