MY FELLOW Radio Newark sports show presenter Mick Bradley said: “In 50-plus years of watching local sport I have never witnessed such magnificent support. The singing never stopped once. Incredible, the team of the day.”
Last week’s 5-1 FA Vase defeat at Longridge was a surprise but, then again, to get to that stage of a national competition was some achievement in itself. To reach the last 32 at the first time of asking in a tournament that set out with 637 teams involved is worthy of a medal in itself.
