SHEFFIELD moved up to ninth after leapfrogging Glossop with a turgid win.
It was a game of limited chances with very little happening in the first half, Sheffield coming close with an effort from Mitchell Dunne, whilst Glossop should have capitalised on an effort from Alex Rosenberg which was hooked over the bar.
The home side broke the deadlock on 63 minutes, after some good work on the left flank from Danny Deakin which saw a great ball into the middle, which was converted from close range by Marc Newsham to make it 1-0.
