TALK about Year of the Underdog! The Buildbase FA Trophy has thrown up surprise after surprise this season and the giantkillers were at it again yesterday.
Take a bow Step 4 duo Aveley and Halesowen, who pulled off great results yesterday along with Royston Town, of the BetVictor Southern Premier Central. You’ll read about their exploits elsewhere in this paper, but all three are into the final eight of Non- League’s top cup competition.
It’s a fantastic achievement and they no doubt enjoyed some special celebrations that went long into the night.
