WOODS MOURN LOSS OF A LEGEND IN BYRNE

LONG-SERVING Northwood secretary Alan Evans has led the tributes to much-loved life president Pat Byrne.
The popular 80-yearold passed away from Covid-19 last Saturday night, triggering an avalanche of messages on social media when Woods made the news public.
Byrne made his debut for Northwood in 1955 and went on to manage the club in the 1970s. He became Woods president in 2004 and life president three years later.
