HAMZA’S STAYING AT LIONS

GUISELEY club captain Hamza Bencherif has decided to stay on for another year.
The former Algerian under-20 international has been a popular figure at Nethermoor since signing last summer, and was joint winner of the Supporters’ Player-of-the-Year award last term, having played 36 times and scoring four goals.
Bencherif, 32, was made captain after Scott Garner’s move to Boston midway through 2019-20. He has previously played for the likes of Macclesfield, Lincoln and York.
