BEFORE turning full-time with football, my job was working in operating theatres selling equipment like plates, screws, knee and hip replacements. You have to be there to answer any questions about the equipment. I would be in theatre watching it all happen so if an operation ran over I couldn’t just leave.
I remember one Tuesday I was working in Stevenage. That night Brackley, who I was playing for at the time, had Chorley away.
