GAINSBOROUGH Trinity made a dream start to the season with a fine victory over Hyde.
The visitors started the game on the front foot, but as the Holy Blues settled, Reco Fyfe combined well with Lewis Collins on the left.
Fyfe, the former Ilkeston Town man, cut inside onto his right foot before planting an effort beyond Joe Green, help ing to settle the home sides’ nerves.
Matty Dixon then saw an opportunity to double his side’s lead only for his rasping 40-yard drive to be helped over the bar by Green.
