■ THE match was won in the space of five second-half minutes.
A superb Eddie Church header put Brighouse ahead in the 58th minute from a Jack Boyle cross-field pass.
But in the 70th minute the match turned on its head. Jack Boyle missed a glorious chance when put through and that was followed by a second yellow card for Brighouse’s Tom Haigh and Clitheroe capitalised from the resulting free-kick.
Hit from out wide on the left, it prompted a scramble in the box and Blues skipper Billy Priestley pounced to level the scores.
