SHANE CLARKE netted a brace as Spalding United made it two wins from two this season.
The former Lincoln City scholar, newly arrived this summer from Gainsborough Trinity, struck once in each half to seal a routine win.
Clarke took just three minutes to break the deadlock, exchanging a neat one-two with Joel Brownhill before firing home.
Brownhill was close to doubling the lead with a free-kick which flew inches wide before Tyrell Shannon-Lewis spurned a glorious chance two minutes after the interval, blasting over.
