Pools just too slick for shot-shy Heed

HARTLEPOOL romped to a comfortable victory in their final pre-season derby on Tyneside.
Pools were too good for an out of sorts Gateshead depleted by the unavailability of six players.
The visitors were the slicker side, particularly in the second half, against a Heed team that has struggled for goals.
Nicky Featherstone ran the show for Dave Challinor’s side for whom Gavan Holohan and Claudio Ofosu also impressed. .
Featherstone had a 30-yard drive tipped past the post by James Montgomery early on.
