AN OWN goal from Nathan Scarborough and a deflected effort from Lee Noble gave Tilbury a hardfought win.
The first goal, coming with a slice of luck, found the back of the net courtesy of Scarborough, whose attempted clearance found the net instead of safety.
From then on, the Hullbridge luck didn’t improve, leading to Noble’s strike to put Tilbury two goals to the good. The deflected free-kick left Lewis Greene rooted to the spot as the ball spiralled into the bottom corner.
