WORTHING’S comeback win sent them to the top of the table after 90 minutes for the purist Margate led after 28 minutes. But two goals in six minutes just before half-time turned the match in Worthing’s favour.
And their third goal, just after half-time, let them withstand some intense late Gate pressure. Margate’s Noel Leighton headed wide on six minutes. But the visitors played an exceptional possession game and nearly levelled on 25 minutes, Dayshonne Golding’s fierce shot producing a great save from Gate keeper Bailey Vose.
