STAMFORD edged past Lincoln in a cagey affair at the Zeeco Stadium. Stamford opened the scoring when Harry Limb picked the ball up on the wing and beat two defenders to cross to Tom Siddons who poked home at a stretch.
Joe Burgess saw a dipping shot tipped over and the impressive Sean Wright went close with a header.
Jack McMenemy and Callum Chapman both drew good saves from Stamford’s Dan Haystead before Lincoln equalised from the spot when Matt Cotton smashed his penalty straight down the middle.
