BANBURY United took on their biggest game in 40 years in the fourth qualifying round against Bury Town from the Isthmian League.
After eight minutes Sam Brown’s cross-shot went wide for Banbury. After 13 minutes Brown went down the left and crossed to Ricky Johnson but the ball flew wide again.
Connor Roberts then got the ball down the right and crossed and Kelvin Langmead shot just wide of the post.
On 22 minutes Bury took the lead when captain Ollie Hughes fired home and two minutes later Banbury were unlucky when Henry Landers hit the post.
