NORTH Shields’ perfect penalty shootout saw them edge out Bridlington Town.
The clash between two former Vase winners went down to the wire - David Robinson’s late leveller for the Robins made it 2-2 and Greg Purvis made the crucial penalty save.
Dan Wilson’s shot on the turn put Shields ahead before the Seasiders equalised on the stroke of half-timethrough Fraser Papprill.
Danny Earl then fi red Bri dlington in front early in the second half to turn the tie on its head.
