■ BOTH sides had to work hard all afternoon to get something from this game.
Romford took an early lead with Lee Newton firing the visitors in front after only nine minutes with a low driven shot into the far corner.
Bury pulled the game level after 21 minutes with some good buildup play which led to Cemal Ramadan finding space at the far post to slot the ball past the keeper.
After the break the two defences were on top until the 80th minute when a superb goal from Ryan Jolland put Bury in front.
