■ BOTH clubs have come a long way since propping up the table when the league was aborted in March, but it was Staines who emerged from a close contest to climb to the dizzy heights of second.
A Fred Hill corner was put back into the danger area by Che Krabbendam, for Temi Eweka to power in Staines’ opener after only four minutes.
But the visitors struck back after eight minutes, a slick passing move rounded off by the imposing Jesse Armoo’s clinical finish into the bottom corner.
