HANWELL came out on top in a classic game of two halves.
Javaun Splatt, signed on a dual registration from Tonbridge Angels during the week, looked lively for Chipstead and had a goal ruled out for offside.
But Chips did take the lead after 17 minutes as Raheem Sterling-Parker passed the ball wide to Jack Beadle. He crossed deep to James Dickson who teed up Jensen Grant to turn the ball home for his second goal in a week.
