ELLIOT Ronto’s second- half goal helped Canvey Island to a narrow victory at Banbury to book themselves a place in the second round.
The visitors went ahead through Conor Hubble, before Ricky Johnson restored parity, with Ronto winning it minutes later.
The hosts, who haven’t been this far in the competition since 1973, could only manage to pull back a single goal, despite a number of dangerous attacks, including a couple of shots ricocheting off the woodwork.
