MPs and angry clubs ramp up cash row

THE National League are standing firm amid further criticism of the distribution of a £10m rescue package – with a group of MPs calling for a review and furious clubs demanding chairman Brian Barwick, left, resign.
The grant, funded by the National Lottery, allowed the season to start behind closed doors at Steps 1 and 2, but nine clubs are fuming with how the money has been shared out.
