Football only really has itself to blame

I TOTALLY concur with the views of Steve Roberts, from Dorset (Fans’ Forum, Nov 9), that a second stoppage of football and a lockdown was inevitable and actually desirable given the disregard for social distancing and the absence face masks at games at Step 3 and below.
I stopped going to my regular Step 3 ground because the crowds were three times as big as normal and the regulars were coming up for a chat without observing any safety measures. In fact, in a crowd of 400, I was only one of two people wearing a face covering.
