■CONSETT hitman Dale swiftly Pearson’s four

goals ended Maltby Main’s interest in the FA Vase.
The Steelmen, still waiting to contest the 2019/20 FA Vase final, romped home in impressive style.
Their lead was slender at the break but two early goals after the break sunk the Miners.
Luke Carr had an effort tipped over before the opening goal arrived on the half hour. Matty Cornish played in Pearson whose powerful angled drive beat James Pollard at his near post.
