THE FA Alliance Committee have explained the rationale behind the decision to reject the Step 2 ‘mini-league’.
Following the vote to declare the National League North and South season null and void, a group of clubs put forward a bid to play on.
A proposal was submitted for a combined competition where clubs would play each other once in order to declare a champion and play-off winner.
