TWO years after landing in the hot seat, Michael Clegg says Ashton United finally feels like his team.

Poached from Atherton Collieries after the Lancastrians won NPL West in 2019, Clegg’s attempts to rebuild Ashton were repeatedly thwarted by Covid-19.
Seventeenth in the NPL Premier when the 2019-20 campaign was abandoned, last season brought just one win from seven games before the shutdown struck.
But after sealing the eye-catching capture of former Salford City, Blackpool and Morecambe striker Jack Redshaw, Clegg is convinced brighter times lie ahead.
