Hyde United boss feeling bullish ahead of new NPL season

BULLISH Hyde United boss Dave McGurk has ordered his players to set their sights higher than survival.
The Tigers have endured significant turmoil in recent seasons, with three consecutive relegations followed in 2019 by the death of CEO Mark Worthington.
But with most of last season’s squad already re-signed – and no reduction in budget – McGurk is hopeful the fallow years are over.
“In terms of what we spend, we’re probably in the bottom three or four of this league,” said the former York City defender, whose side won promotion back to the NPL Premier in 2018.
