Whitby Town 1-2 York City: Star Clayton turns the tables

York City gave a second half masterclass to come from behind and beat lively Whitby Town thanks to a late Clayton Donaldson goal.

YORK City gave a second half masterclass to come from behind and beat lively Whitby Town thanks to a late Clayton Donaldson goal.

Whitby were firmly on top early on with Brad Fewster heading just wide. At the other end, Shane Bland saved well from Jake Degruchy.
Whitby’s Jacob Hazel saw an effort blocked on the line, while City should have scored when Bland was dispossessed but Jason Gilchrist headed wide with an open net.
Fewster then broke the deadlock.
