STAFFORD Rangers continued their pre-season preparations with an impressive victory over Aston Villa under-23s – after making a flying start.

Rangers took the lead inside the opening minute with Alex Fletcher giving the hosts a dream start against their young visitors.
A defensive mistake almost allowed them to double their lead with Joe Cuff capitalising before seeing his effort fly off the crossbar.
Thomas Carr also saw an effort go close for Rangers before Cuff did double his side’s lead two minutes before the break.
