Havant & Waterlooville 3-1 Gosport Borough: Great Scott sends the Hawks on their way

HAVANT & Waterlooville overcame local rivals Gosport Borough in a feisty fixture at Westleigh Park.

Both teams were lively in the opening quarter of an hour with little between them but the opening goal came on 27 minutes when Scott Rendell pounced onto James Roberts’ ball over the defence.
The experienced striker slotted the ball easily past Gosport’s trialist goalkeeper.
The teams were level four minutes later when Dan Wooden dispossessed Josh Passley and ran on to beat Ross Worner from close range.
