■ CANVEY were reduced to ten men after 83 minutes when Conor Hubble was sent off for deliberate handball, less than 60 seconds after hitting the post at the other end.
Charlie Cole stepped up but saw his spot-kick saved by Bobby Mason.
The home side then took the lead two minutes later when Harrison Chatting cut inside Sam Brogan and slotted home with his right foot from inside the area.
Hullbridge were awarded their second penalty after 92 minutes when Darnell Shakes handled while trying to defender a corner.
