COLNEY Heath showed patience and discipline to claim a historic first win at Step 4.
The first half was a cagey affair, and only Jon Clements’ rasping drive that was palmed away by Luke Mewitt in the Hertford goal offered much entertainment.
In the second half the game opened up and the home side began to create a few openings.
With 71 minutes gone Clements had a cross-shot that drifted wide just as George Sippetts lunged in at the far post.
