■ CRAY WANDERERS ended a run of seven straight defeats at a sodden Colston Avenue.
On a day more fit for ducks than football, early pressure from Carshalton saw a Lewis White effort cleared off the line. Cray took the lead in the 27th minute though against the run of play, recent signing Marvin McCoy glancing an Anthony Cook corner beyond Lloyd Thomas.
Minutes later, Dan Bassett missed the opportunity to bring the Robins level, Jack Turner easily saving his penalty after Cray player/coach Andy Drury had been penalised for handball.
