WHATEVER next? Just when the Non-League season seems to be ticking along nicely, the country has a fuel crisis.
With a shortage of HGV drivers, restocking petrol stations has been hit hard and, at the back end of last week, caused a panic at the pumps.
Many of us have since been faced with long waits – or closed petrol stations. Has the situation continued into this week, there was almost a sense of inevitability that it would start affecting Non-League football. And so it proved.
