■ THE tie was marred by an early horror injury sustained by Kidlington’s Declan Peart.
The centre-half had to be carried off with a dislocated ankle and, after such an incident, it was understandable the contest did not get going until the second half.
Ciren went ahead when Ben Whitehead converted a Josh Parsons centre. However, the lead lasted only a couple of minutes, Billy Gillett capping a tidy Kidlington move with a cool finish.
