■ EAST Grinstead bowed out on penalties despite taking an early lead when a great strike by Kie Douglas took a deflection and flew into the net.
The equaliser came from the penalty spot through Nathan Twun-Koranteng.
Waltham Abbey took the lead just before half-time when a save from a corner fell to Issac Nkosi who finished easily.
The second half saw East Grinstead come out strongly and they equalised on 58 minutes when a good cross into the box by Fintan Walsh found Frants Bakilis in space and he volleyed home.
