MATT SPARROW was the inspiration for Yaxley, scoring and providing an assist as the Cuckoos downed Biggleswade.
The first half was an even affair which saw both sides come close to opening the scoring.
In the 13th minute, the bar denied Biggleswade’s Ryan Inskip after he took a pot shot from 20 yards.
Seven minutes later, Sparrow weaved his way through the Biggleswade defence before having a shot saved by Dan Green.
