BOWERS were the width of the crossbar away from a Bognor-assisted victory at the Len Salmon Stadium in a game where defences dominated.
An otherwise dull first half sparked into life in the 39th minute when the hosts’ Dan Trendall produced a fantastic turn inside the box, but could only jab his effort wide.
Bowers keeper Mitchell Beeney then held onto to a Calvin Davies volley, which was the Rocks’ best effort of the half.
Bognor started the second half stronger and Beeney had to be at his best to keep Bowers in the gam...
