HEYBRIDGE SWIFTS 1 GRAYS ATHLETIC 3

■HEYBRIDGE had a bad start and their afternoon hardly got any better.
It started poorly when a clumsy tackle from Jeremy Arthur led to a Grays penalty in the first minute which was put away by David Knight.
Heybridge continued to challenge the title contenders but conceded a second when Danny Gould sent a superb curler in from 25 yards.
Heybridge had a few early attempts in the second half and got their deserved goal after Archie McFadden’s inviting ball was met by Jack Adlington-Pile to halve the deficit.
