JEFF Stelling has told Stockport County fans to keep their eyes off Hartlepool United manager Dave Challinor.
County axed boss Simon Rusk following defeat at home to Barnet on Tuesday which left them outside of the National League promotion picture.
Challinor, who led Hartlepool back into the Football League last season via the play-offs, was quickly installed as the bookies choice to replace him.
A former Hatter as a player, Challinor has a fine reputation in management after getting Pools up, having had promotions at previous clubs Colwyn Bay and AFC Fylde.
