FORMER Stratford Town fans favourite Claudio Dias was on target to help Alvechurch claim the spoils in this gritty Midlands tussle where chances were at a premium.
That was certainly the case in a lacklustre first half, although the returning Mike Taylor went close for the visitors inside four minutes. Church’s best chance of the opening period came just before the interval when Dan Waldron was denied by keeper Liam O’Brien.
